How does it work? Simply register your contact details, including your name, address and contact numbers. Then select the type of information you do not want to receive. For example, you may only want to receive mail pieces but not telephone calls or SMS.
Once you have successfully submitted your information to Your Privacy, our central database is updated. This information is then made available to Australian marketing companies solely for the purposes of excluding you from their future marketing activities.
Where does my information go? All information about you is securely stored on a central database. This information is protected by several levels of IT security as well as building and internet security. All information is protected by encryption and against internal theft intrusion to ensure the utmost protection of your privacy.

What happens to the marketing companies who do not use the Your Privacy information? Australian businesses are encouraged to use the information collected at Your Privacy to exclude consumers who do not wish to be contacted in their marketing activities.
The companies that support Your Privacy do so willingly. Australian marketers are not obligated by law to register or use the Your Privacy database. Those that do so, are using Australia's only cross-media consumer preference service and are interested in supporting your privacy as a consumer and respecting your privacy needs.
If you feel a company should be registered with Your Privacy, please email us at contactus@yourprivacy.com.au

How often do you update your database? The Your Privacy database is updated with incoming information on a daily basis. This information is distributed to marketing companies that are registered with Your Privacy each week.
Will you use my details again? For Your Privacy to work properly, your contact details need to be distributed to all registered marketing companies. These companies will not be allowed to use your information for any other purpose than to exclude you from future marketing activities.

Can I use Your Privacy for anyone else? Your Privacy is based on giving individuals control over the information and offers they receive. We understand that this is very much an issue of personal preference. For this reason, we encourage Australians to register their preferences with Your Privacy individually.
How do I know my name has been removed? Simply tick the "Confirm via email" box at the bottom of the registration form and we will confirm that your decision has been processed.
